Steel bending manufacturers said that bending is the stamping process of bending metal plates, pipes and profiles into a certain curvature, shape and size of the workpiece. Bending forming is widely used in the manufacture of high-pressure vessels, boiler drum, boiler furnace tube, hull steel plate and bone ribs, various utensils, instrumentation components and box and cabinet insert strips.

When the material is bent, the stress state of each part in the deformation zone is different. The non-deformed part of the middle of the cross section is called the neutral layer. The metal outside the neutral layer is subjected to tensile stress, resulting in elongation deformation. The metal within the neutral layer is subjected to compressive stress, resulting in compressive deformation. Since the stress and strain directions of the metals on both sides of the neutral layer are opposite, when the load is removed, the elastic deformation of the metals on both sides of the neutral layer returns in opposite directions, causing different degrees of rebound. Although the bending deformation is limited to the local area of the material, the elastic effect will affect the accuracy of the bending part. There are many influencing factors of elastic recovery, and these factors are difficult to control. The precision problem of the bending parts caused by elastic recovery has always been the key to the production of bending forming.

Especially in the technical capacity of the project, three factors need to be considered whether the jaw distance of the equipment meets the stretching length of the material, and whether the jaw size meets the clamping requirements of the section size.
